1. Marion Akiteng

Host Club: Rotary Club of Toowong, District 9600.
As a teacher in rural eastern Uganda Marion also was a counsellor to the students and patron for student affairs.
She also worked with a de-mining organization in South Sudan as a project officer.
While on internship to the Solomon Islands, Marion participated in the evaluation of the National Peace Policy that was being developed by looking at the linkages between the developing document and other policies from other ministries.
She also worked with 250 youth on what was supposed to be peace-building, but became instead a self-evaluation of identity and belonging that lead to envisioning a future to which they could contribute.
