Class XX (2022-2023)

6. Sarah Wind

United States

Sarah is from Alabama in the United States and holds a Master of Science in Global Studies and International Relations from Northeastern University. Previously, Sarah worked for an international NGO helping women and children in Guatemala, in hunger relief at the United States’ second-largest food bank, and at the Center for Victims of Torture supporting human rights activists living in exile.

Prior to starting her Peace Fellowship, Sarah managed programs at an international development organization that works with elected leaders, civil society leaders, journalists, and policymakers in countries around the world to build more sustainable democratic institutions and practices.

Each of Sarah’s different professional experiences has helped her identify her long-term career and life aspirations of building sustainable peace programs that start from the community level in conflict and post-conflict countries. Sarah is honored to have been awarded the Rotary Peace Fellowship and hopes to develop deeper and more practical knowledge of mediation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and building more inclusive peace processes.
