Mariano obtained his degree in international relations from la Universidad Nacional de Rosario. Having to immigrate with his family at the age of four because of political persecution, he got an early idea of what conflict and displacement entailed.
He worked as an assistant analyst at Centro del Sur and Accion Sur, which is devoted to researching the impact of illegal drug traffic on in underdeveloped countries and local communities. Mariano speaks Spanish, English, French, and German and after his Applied Field Experience in UNHCR he aspires to work in protection issues with refugees and Internally Displaced Persons.
