After graduating in 2010, Grace began working with the U.S. Refugee Resettlement Program in Austin, Texas (Refugees Services of Texas) and Albany, New York (U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants). Grace has more than seven years of experience working with refugees, asylees, survivors of torture, and other immigrants from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Cuba, and Ukraine. Her work included program management, advocacy, case management (social and health), cultivating relationships with employers for refugee employment opportunities, and community integration. Refugees resettlement is very close to Grace’s heart, and she is looking forward to learning as much as she can from the Rotary Peace Fellowship program, in order to be able to continue her work at a macro level.
