Studying Peace and Conflict Studies builds your knowledge about the forces that generate contemporary conflict and the processes and practices that contribute to conflict prevention, resolution and peacebuilding. Our students graduate with the knowledge and practical skills they need to engage in conflict analysis and resolution, peacekeeping and peacebuilding in the contemporary global context.
The Rotary Peace Fellows study for a Master of Peace and Conflict Resolution (#24). This is an 18 month program and includes a compulsory period of Applied Fieldwork Experience (AFE) . The AFE is an important element of the MPACS program. Fellows work for a range of organisations who operate in their area or region of interest.
Program details and course outlines
Professor Roland Bleiker is the current Director of the Rotary Peace Centre within the School of Political Science and International Studies. The Centre is supported by Graduate Centre Manager, Mrs Diana McCluskey. Leslie Smith is the current Rotary Host Area Coordinator.
Candidates must have at least three years between the completion of their most recent academic degree program (i.e. undergraduate or graduate degree) and their intended start date for the fellowship. Candidates currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program are not eligible to apply.
