2. John Foster

John Foster is a 2003 graduate of Davidson College, where he majored in Religion and minored in Spanish. After graduation, John studied as a fellow with the Humanity in Action Foundation in Berlin and served as an intern at the United Nation's International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague. John began his studies in International Relations as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2004. After a brief stint as a research analyst with the Corporate Executive Board, a consulting firm in Washington, DC, John resumed his studies in International Relations in 2006 as a Rotary World Peace Fellow at the University of Queensland. As a Rotary Fellow, John has focused his research on the role that rule of law establishment plays in peacekeeping operations. For his applied field experience, John worked at the Institute for Justice Sector Development, which is a non-profit organization that is developing international standards for setting up war crimes tribunals in post-conflict countries. After graduating from UQ, John intends to study law in the United States and specialize in the field of international humanitarian law.
