9. Salim Uqdah — USA

Salim currently provides dispute resolution services in form of mediation, arbitration, facilitation, consulting, and conflict coaching.

The Peace Fellowship program will undoubtedly profoundly impact my maturation as a peacekeeper, professional, and human being. I anticipate gaining a complex comprehension of the genesis and proliferation of conflict, peacebuilding strategies, and the complexities of putting theory into practice in facilitations, mediations, negotiations, and broader forums. I look forward to contributing actively to the peacekeeping community and being a bridge to the legal dispute resolution field.

I relish learning from diverse perspectives and translating my newfound insights into tangible actions that positively impact individuals, communities, and institutions worldwide.

Upon completing the fellowship, my short-term goal is to apply the knowledge, skills, and insights gained to sharpen my skills as a dispute resolution professional. In the long term, I aspire to engage in dispute system design as a consultant to engage in organizational design and business process reengineering in corporate, governmental, and NGOs and non-profits to normalize the usage of dispute resolution processes in everyday people’s professional and private lives.

Ultimately, I aim to catalyse and craft a more conflict-literate world, fostering dialogue, innovation, and lasting global peace.
