Elyin currently works as a Strategic Projects Coordinator, leading the transition from conflict mediation and community integration initiatives into sustainable development projects for low-income communities as part of large scale managing humanitarian programs who aim to tackle social justice, insecurity, and poverty while overcoming adverse conditions as the current socio political situation in Central America represents a significant challenge for local third sector organizations. His work during the past decade has impacted over a hundred thousand beneficiaries both nationwide and across the region, particularly serving indigenous populations and migrants from countries different south American and Caribbean countries who have fled armed conflict and political instability. Additionally, he has also collaborated with different international entities on side projects to foster and promote social cohesion and resilience among vulnerable and culturally diverse populations.

He views the Rotary Peace Fellowship as a transformative opportunity to gain advanced knowledge in peace studies, conflict resolution, and restorative justice. He expects that his academic journey will enable him to contribute to addressing Nicaragua’s challenges related to migration, forced displacement, social instability, , and poverty. The program will also provide him with access to a global network of professionals, providing opportunities for future collaborations and the exchange of best practices.

In the short term, he plans to apply these advanced skills to strengthen and innovate humanitarian programs across a significant percentage of his country's rural communities, with a strong emphasis on peacebuilding, social cohesion, and community integration. In the mid-term, his goal is to transition these initiatives into sustainable development models by incorporating digital transformation, agricultural entrepreneurship, and eco-tourism ventures in collaboration with local authorities, thereby promoting long-term social stability, economic growth, and inclusive development.
