Class XXIV (2026–2027)
9. Manuela Meneses Munera – Colombia
Manuela currently works as a Communication and Education Co-Creator, developing innovative strategies to promote labor rights through education and advocacy. Her work focuses on creating impactful communication approaches that empower communities and foster social justice.
She views the Rotary Peace Fellowship as a transformative opportunity to deepen her academic knowledge and broaden her perspective on peacebuilding and social justice. The program will provide tools to enhance her thinking process and connect her with a global network of professionals committed to similar goals, fostering collaboration and the exchange of experiences. This exposure will strengthen her ability to support local initiatives for peace and enable her to design actions with greater impact.
In the short term, Manuela plans to continue promoting human and labor rights through education and hopes to engage more actively with her local university to advance peacebuilding in creative, art-thinking settings. Her long-term vision is to establish a contemporary art and culture center dedicated to exploring cultural diversity’s role in peacebuilding and post-conflict memory—creating spaces for dialogue, inclusion, and sustainable social change.
